However, it becomes even more crucial when we consider the context of rural areas, where vulnerable groups often face unique challenges. In these regions, social inclusion goes beyond its general importance and takes on a profoundly significant role.<\/li>\n<li>In rural areas, the inclusion of vulnerable groups, such as marginalised communities and individuals facing socio-economic hardship, is not only a moral imperative but also a practical necessity. By embracing and supporting these underrepresented members of society, we unlock a wealth of untapped potential and foster a deeper pool of diverse perspectives and talents. This diversity is a source of innovation, a catalyst for sustainable economic growth and a driving force for social development in rural communities.<\/li>\n<li>Mycology-based entrepreneurship has the potential to lead to innovative solutions in agriculture, medicine, and biotechnology, all of which can have far-reaching positive impacts on society. By involving disadvantaged groups, we ensure a more diverse and inclusive range of perspectives and ideas, which is often the basis of innovation. This approach contributes to promote economic and environmental sustainability.<strong>Aims<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The aim of this course is to enable professionals to support disadvantaged groups to engage in social entrepreneurship in the field of mycology, notably in the more remote rural areas. The overall goal is to provide educators with competences to promote social inclusion aiming at improving the outreach to people with fewer opportunities, including people with disabilities and people with a migrant background, as well as people living in rural and remote areas such as outermost regions, people facing gender inequalities, socio-economic difficulties or any other potential source of discrimination based on sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Main ideas\u00a0 Social inclusion is a key pillar in ensuring the well-being of individuals and the prosperity of society.
